One of Banksy’s most famous works has been defaced in what may be the latest episode of a long-running spat with a rival street artist.

The image above a shop in Bristol, which is generally accepted as the artist’s home town, shows a police marksman with a child about to burst a paper bag behind him.

It appeared near Bristol city centre four years ago but has now been defaced with black paint. The vandalism has been signed “Team Robbo” apparently a reference to King Robbo, regarded as a founding father of the London graffiti scene.

If you follow Banksy’s work, this is a really good read.

Space Invader has balls! Invader is by no means a “local” street artist but in my opinion one of the greats. Instead of using spray-paint to tag he uses tiles in which he makes into characters from the game Space Invader. He also makes many other designs.

This is a blog directed completely towards street art! I will be posting pictures and videos, street art news, interviews with local taggers, and all in all hoping to help keep street art alive. I will be accepting submissions as well. Enjoy the blog!
